Why is Medicare so complicated and confusing?

You pay into the system for 40 plus years but when you're ready to enroll and choose appropriate coverage you're met with junk mail, bureaucratic  language and Joe Namath commercials on TV.  Is there anywhere to go to get help? Well, Yes there is!

That's why I created Medicare Knight School.

 

I spent 30 years working inside the health insurance industry and specialized in explaining Medicare to non insurance people.  I eventually developed classes and taught them for the past 10 years through Adult Education programs and the Osher Center at the University of Southern Maine. I was interviewed as a subject matter expert for US World and News Report and contribute endlessly to community forums and seminars.

My goal is to help people feel more comfortable about Medicare.  Once the anxiety is gone, people are more empowered to follow the necessary steps to enroll, choose coverage and adjust from year to year.

I've developed a series of "Road Map" summaries and provide them here on my web site.

​

I've also developed a two hour class which I offer for $59 which includes plenty of time at the end for questions and answers. For people who want all areas addressed with sequence and context, this will empower you to learn everything you need to know about Medicare and is appropriate for both Medicare Recipients and Family members looking to help out.
